a) General information on cookies and their use on our website
Cookies are small text files that are used by websites and stored on users' end devices in order to make the user experience more efficient, for example by storing certain settings or user behaviour. Cookies cannot execute programmes or transmit viruses to your computer. This site uses different types of cookies. Some cookies are placed by third parties that appear on our pages.
Without your express consent, we only use cookies on this website that are necessary to display the page (purpose is the appealing presentation of the website) or to save the status of the consents you have or have not given (purpose is to ensure the data protection-compliant use of cookies on our website). The legal basis for the use of the necessary cookies is Article 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. f GDPR.
This website uses transient and persistent cookies. „Transient cookies“ are automatically deleted when you close the browser. These include session cookies in particular. These store a so-called session ID, with which various requests from your browser can be assigned to the joint session. This allows your computer to be recognised when you return to our website. The session cookies are deleted when you log out or close the browser. „Persistent cookies“ are automatically deleted after a specified period, which may vary depending on the cookie. You can delete the cookies at any time in the security settings of your browser.

The legal basis for the processing of personal data in this context is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. c GDPR and Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR. Our legitimate interest is the management of the cookies and similar technologies used and the related consents.

IV. Data processing in the context of your registration for the international DWV Congress
In the following, we provide information on the processing of personal data in connection with your interest in or participation in the international DWV Congress. This includes the processing of data during registration and participation, the use of photo and video recordings.
Registration and organisation of the international DWV Congress
If you register to participate in our international DWV Congress, we will process the data you provide in order to organise the event and manage your participation. It is necessary for the conclusion of the contract that you provide your personal data, which we need for the purpose of processing your order. The data requested will be collected, in particular your name, your professional contact details and other personal information that you may provide or that may arise in the course of your activities at the congress. Due to commercial and tax law requirements, we are obliged to store your address, payment and order data for a period of ten years. However, we will restrict processing after the congress, i.e. your data will only be used to fulfil legal obligations from this point onwards. For payment purposes, you can provide your payment details to our payment service provider or we can pass on your payment details to our house bank, whereby these third parties are each independently responsible for payment processing. The legal basis for processing in the context of congress administration is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 letter b GDPR (if you are registering personally or as an individual) or Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 letter f GDPR (if you are registering on behalf of a legal entity).
Functions and content of the pretix service, offered by pretix GmbH, Berthold-Mogel-Straße 1, 69126 Heidelberg, Germany, are integrated into our event offer. This includes the ticket shop, which is integrated via a JavaScript widget and enables the ordering process. The service provider is integrated by us as a processor, i.e. we have contractually instructed it to process data and subjected it to data processing specifications. Further information on data protection at pretix can be found here: https://pretix.eu/about/de/privacy.
List of participants
A list of participants will be compiled as part of the congress, which can be viewed by all participants. It contains the names and associated companies of the participants. If you do not agree to this, you can object to being included. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 letter f GDPR, with the legitimate interest of informing all participants about the congress.
Event app for communication and interaction at the congress (LineUpR Premium)
At the international DWV Congress, we use the LineUpR Premium event app to facilitate communication and interaction between participants. The app is available as an app on smartphones or computers at https://dwv.lineupr.com/dwvkongress/ can be called up. It is a website that can be called up in the browser and contains a variety of functions relating to congress participation. You can personally compile your congress programme and interact with other participants. The data you enter in the app is collected, e.g. your name, the programme items you have selected or the chat messages you have sent and received.
The app is technically provided and maintained by our service provider, LineUpr GmbH, Glacisstraße 20 b, 01099 Dresden. The service provider is integrated via an order processing contract and processes the data only in accordance with instructions and is appropriately monitored by us to ensure a high level of protection. The legal basis for the use of the app is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 letter f GDPR, with the interests of the interactive organisation of the congress. Use of the app is voluntary.
Photo utilisation
By participating in the International DWV Congress 2025 and visiting the premises, you consent to the documentation with photos and videos described below. The legal basis for the processing is your consent pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 letter a GDPR. The processing is not required by law or contract and is not necessary for the conclusion of a contract.
„By attending the International DWV Congress 2025, I agree that photographs and video recordings may be made of me as part of my participation at the event venue to enable DWV and its partners to report on the event. My consent covers the following purposes: taking and publishing photos and video recordings for public relations purposes (by DWV and the press), documentation on the DWV website, in social media (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, etc.) and the DWV member magazine DDW as well as internal reporting within DWV.
This includes the fact that, according to the information currently known, photos/videos and data in these social networks are accessible worldwide, can be found using search engines and linked to other information, which may be used to create personality profiles about me that may no longer be deleted, but are simply no longer shown publicly. Information posted on the internet, including photos/videos, can be copied, redistributed and used for the training of artificial intelligence (AI) applications. There is currently insufficient information on the use of photos/videos and data by social networks - for example to create personality profiles.
Insofar as my photo/video contains references to my so-called racial and ethnic origin, religion or health (e.g. skin colour, headgear, glasses), my consent also relates to this information.
For the same processing purposes - i.e. their own use for public relations work and in their publications - to the aforementioned extent, I agree that the images may be passed on to the following DWV partners:
- Rhineland-Palatinate Chamber of Architects
- Federation of German Rural Youth e.V.
- Federal Association of Organic Viticulture (ECOVIN)
- German Wine Academy GmbH
- Great Wine Capital (City of Mainz)
- Land Frauen Verband Reinhessen e.V.
- Rural Youth Rheinhessen-Pfalz in the Farmers' and Winegrowers' Association of Rhineland-Palatinate South e.V.
- mainzplus CITYMARKETING GmbH (venue)
- Meininger Verlag GmbH
- rebarriQue GmbH & Co KG
- Rheinhessenwein e.V.
- Same Deutz-Fahr Germany GmbH
- Association of Former Rheinhessen Technical College Students Oppenheim e.V.
- Vinissima - Women & Wine e.V.
- Volksbank Alzey Worms, represented by the agricultural trade of Raiffeisen Erbes-Büdesheim
- Yontex GmbH (organiser of BrauBeviale)
Note on the voluntary nature and cancellation of photo usage:
Your consent is voluntary. You can refuse or withdraw your consent without giving reasons. Please speak to our photographers, let us know at check-in or inform us online. In the event of revocation, the permissibility of the processing up to the time of revocation is not affected.
In principle, we can store the images permanently and use them for these purposes. In the event of your cancellation, the images will no longer be shown publicly (see below for the restrictions) and will not be used for new purposes; however, the images will be stored internally for another 3 years for the purpose of legal traceability, the legal basis in this respect is §§ 195, 199 BGB. Photos/videos in which you are recognisable and which essentially only show you will be removed from the DWV or partner website following an explicit revocation and will no longer be used for new printed materials. In the case of publication in the ddw member magazine, subsequent removal is not possible. If you are depicted on the photo/video together with other persons, the photo/video does not have to be removed, but it is also possible that you are immediately made unrecognisable on the photo/video (e.g. by pixelation or retouching).
