Dr. Felix Prinz zu Löwenstein (62) is chairman of the German Federation of organic farmers, food processors and traders (BÖLW). In this position he has to represent the German organic sector on federal level.

Being agronomist, practical farmer (in the Naturland association since 1992), development worker (in Haiti and different African countries) and as representative in his federation he is confronted both with practical issues of organic farming and with questions of principle concerning organic agriculture. He has written two books dedicated to the question whether organic farming is a valuable alternative for global agriculture.

His passionate pleading in lectures and public debates is: we urgently need a conversion of our system of farming and nutrition. And organic agriculture can be the model to get to a sustainable future.
